No it's common sense that low vit D, obesity, and smoking causes higher risk of any severe case of any respiratory virus. That is why viruses spread more easily in winter when vitamin d levels are lower in people from being outside less. Look it up yourself. Does smoking not cause asthma and black lung for many long term smokers. The same logic applies to respiratory viruses

Today, Baton Rouge’s 3 largest hospitals have more COVID-19 patients than the entire state did just one month ago. 306 total. #lalege #lagov

85% of #COVID19 patients currently hospitalized across Baton Rouge are unvaccinated

I mean, we certainly know much more about long term effects in vaccines in general than we do about COVID 19.

This is disingenuous. You are implying ALL vaccines. I’m not an anti-vaxxer. But to state that we know the long term effects of either one of these is not factual.

This data is more definitive when you consider the most vulnerable populations to Covid are the highest percent vaccinated

Young is defined as under 40's unvaccinated that have not had covid yet. Because most of seniors have already had covid or the vaccine. Just get the vaccine and stop crying so the rest of the state can enjoy football, jazz fest, and the government restrictions can end.

Fear porn. Yea sure the recovery rate is high. Maybe I just want the government restrictions to go away so we can get back to pre pandemic and enjoy a crowded superdome, tiger stadium, and all the fun things about louisiana again. Without JBE sitting on his Soap box like you guys always complain about.

I’m not gonna lie, I expected the vaccinated number to be much lower.

If it were 99% unvaccinated being hospitalized (as we have been told repeatedly) it would be:

304 unvaccinated

2 vaccinated

Once again, there is no info on re-infected unvaccinated patients.

We should be able to do what we want without hitting some bullshite numbers the government says we need to hit.

The frick does any of that nonsense have to do with your bullshite claim that young people are the majority of the hospitalizations?

Define "young"

32 years old. My friend's son in LSU Ochsners right now on a vent and dialysis. 2 kids and one on the way. Just a normal guy. 2 other men in ICU just like him.

Do y'all just deny this totally? You think every one of the Covid stories is a big fat lie? Every one of the people are fat or already have something wrong? Well that's just not true.

Fear really seems to be your determining factor. I prefer facts (and yes I had Covid, and yes, it sucked).

Not fear, but intelligence. I have enough sense to do something to prevent being sick for weeks when that choice is available.

And to the poster about getting hit by a semi...Like everyone else, I drive carefully and can only do what I can do to prevent wrecks. I can't control someone else's driving. Just like Covid and the vaccine. I can get it, but I can't control someone else who doesn't act prudently.

We had 5,000 covid cases in new orleams area just last week alone. I live in the new orleans area. So get over it if I'm sick of covid just like you.

People like you are the greatest harm to the vaccine cause

Giving extreme outlier cases is the worst thing you can do, because now you open up the anti-vaxers to throw extreme outlier vaccine reactions and deaths back at you

Just give the data, not emotion

I have posted data from 8 sources I do my homework on Covid. If you don't believe just watch Dr. John Campbell's daily covid updates yourself on youtube.

He's got 40 years of experience explaining all of this stuff better then I do.
