The deaths and positive % is lower, but the vents and hospitalizations are higher. I wonder what numbers the government leaders are going to look at. 
These guys are 100% complete fricking liars. They'll pick and choose whatever numbers are high and continue to make it part of their agenda for negativity. It changes every single day. For obvious reasons they're gonna want to extend this as long as possible.

If we extrapolate out from deaths assuming a 0.26% Infection fatality rate, which was the CDC’s original estimate...
We passed 15% of the population infected at 3,120 deaths which occurred about 2 weeks before we see a peak in cases around 7/19.
Infections and deaths will likely continue to slow until we hit around 4,100 total deaths which would equal 20% of the population infected, at which point the virus will likely go away. If it comes back is unknown, but it has followed this exact course in nearly every area that doesn’t have very very high population density.

There’s bound to be some excess “didn’t know what we were doing” deaths on the front end March surge that may drift that higher. Calcasieu may provide the best data since they didn’t participate at all in the first wave.

Meh, if you use the Oschner 1.2% it puts us around 5%.
I think that the estimates of what is needed for the effects of herd immunity are greatly overestimated.

Thought I'd share -- the 19 yo young man who was a triplet from the Carencro/Lafayette area died today -- his younger brother and he both had covid and the younger brother was released from the hospital some time ago & seemingly is doing ok.

It sounds like he surely did -- he had emergency surgery last night for bleeding in his chest. But I saw the death announcement on his dads fb page from about an hour ago.
Wouldn't wish that on any parent or anyone.

I have no idea ... all I know is that he was the brother in a set of triplets with 2 sisters and that they were born early but I forget how early. I can't help but be curious as to if he had other issues.
Regardless, a parent shouldn't have to bury a child. The dad is a doctor (anesthesiologist) and the mom is a nurse. I hope that they were both able to be with him in the hospital.

Wasn’t he on ECMO? Probably a risk of that. They are basically tapping into the large blood vessels in your chest to bypass your lungs and oxygenate the blood.

Yes he was on ECMO (how long can you be on that??) .. dad had posted that he had a good day just a couple of days ago. Also 2 days ago, he shared that he had seen his boy smile for the first time since this started. Truly sad.

I'm curious for his answer -- I'd assume so but when his dad said he saw his sons smile, it makes me think maybe not?? I do know that if the videos shown from Italy were real, people were on a vent and their eyes were wide open. Freaked me out.
