Since Sunday, July 26 (just from the numbers posted in OP... don't know if LDH is moving these around like testing date and death date)
hospitalizations have decreased by 143 (whether the person left on their own 2 feet or due to passing away... the point is that bed isn't immediately being refilled with another COVID case)
vent use has increased by 18

What are you looking at? The last 2 days are lowest case days in weeks. Actually a slow constant decline in numbers helps us better to meet these silly phase requirements

Where are all these Covid deaths occurring???
I know people who have had it mild and some who had it bad. But no one near the point of death including some elderly.

The 2 deaths I know of were both dementia patients in a nursing home
You don’t hear about these people that have no family & die alone in nursing homes

Had a neighbor die yesterday from it. He was in hospital over 30 days. Left behind wife and two kids. He was in his 40s.

Thats terrible, it’s never easy losing a parent but I feel awful when little kids have to deal with it

He was in his early to mid 40s. Don't know him personally but know he was like by many.

It’s all in the small numbers. You’d have to know probably more than 50 people (maybe way over) who’ve had it before you’d be “expected” to know someone who dies from it - unless you work/have a lot of family in a nursing home.
Problem is, a small percentage of a large number (US population) is still a large number.

Because they are reporting when the death is reported NOT when the death occurred. Some of these are very old.

Where you located Dan I had a friend pass that had 2 kids and a wife. Also low 40s. Dude was a good friend

Yep same guy. Grew up in Dhan with him. Great guy and great family was just in Grand isle with him. Well I’m GI a few months ago about a month for he was diagnosed. PH

Sorry for the loss of your friend. 1st person I heard of that died from it that I knew of through others.
