I’m just trying to figure out what’s acceptable in your eyes and what’s not.

You’re all over the place

No, I am not. It is called common sense. Friends getting together, sports, and school. What don’t you understand?

You’re not making any sense.

Go back and read your contradictions.

There have been quite a few.

No, you just struggle with reading comprehension. Obvious you don’t have any high school/college aged kids.

I am saying the older kids (especially seniors) meet up together, have private parties etc. Might as well let them go to school and play ball.

So what you’re saying is that since a few kids get together for a small 10 person social house party they might as well open up all schools and sports??

Because that’s exactly what you said

You can also make schools and sports small groups. Football basically the only exception

It’s all about spacing and their age. That is my point.

I agree but unfortunately the decision isn’t up to the irresponsible parents that are allowing these private parties.

Remember when Dr. Avegno told us to pick out 7 people at that Newman party that people would choose to let die? None died. I remember

Right after she said that, I messaged her and told her that statement was irresponsible.

And no, my kids don’t go to Newman.

Lets recap...these are your words....

Someone posted...No sports, dances, clubs, or socializing with their friends.

and your response was..

quote:

They are doing a lot of these things outside of sanctioned events.

There hasnt been any dances or clubs to my knowledge and sports have been extremely limited

then you said

quote:

the older kids (especially seniors) meet up together, have private parties etc. Might as well let them go to school and play ball.

I told you that was on the parents to allow private parties.....

then you decided to say oh. I meant small get togethers

quote:

let small groups of kids get together.

So do we let small groups get together or do we let them ALL get together and go to parties, play sports and go to school?

If I understand what you're trying to say is since people are already not following the recommendations we might as well let them just keep not following the recommendations?

Again you can have small get togethers, school (with kids spread out)......they are big arse buildings, and sports (which are basically all small groups except football). Yes you will get some infections, but you aren’t going to be keeping your high school kids locked up (like the one you recently sent by Florabama, and the other to a travel ball tourney).

Clear?

The thing is that it's going to be both cheaper, and a path of least resistance for these schools to do remote teaching. So that's what will happen.

Oddly enough my nephew in Illinois is being told they are going to give going to school a try first before falling back to online classes.
