It's one lesson you film a day, so essentially kids would be behind a computer for 4 hours a day watching and then doing the assignments

So people that have more than one kid will have to have more than one computer? Are all online classes at the same time? This shite will never work.

I hope most private schools don't follow the rest of the public schools

Why not? Just about every kid in school grade 5th-12th has their own Laptop or Tablet....it's pretty much mandatory these days

From what I understand teachers will have to film one of the lessons they do a day. It will be live streamed and recorded for those students/parents who opt for virtual learning.

ELA is 1:30
Math is 1:30
SS/Science is 1 hour and they will be rotating those subjects

Yeah, I'd have to imagine they will be giving out chromebooks or something.

Several parishes have a 1 to 1 chromebook to student ratio and it is how they did virtual learning last year

Holidays, my wife or I are off (95%) of the time so we are home.
Summer- either sitters or grandparents, or summer camps.

My daughter will be entering her first year in high school. She turned 14 last week and we can tell she is getting very depressed from not being around other kids her age. We asked her if she wanted to do virtual learning and her answer was pretty much frick NO! She said she wants to meet new people. She will be going from a private school with a class of 14 to a pretty large public school in Central Lafourche.
