We're just a few days past the anniversary of the second Schweinfurt raid. 60 heavy bombers lost.

Yeah, sorry. I meant to add that. Was kinda adding to how event history isn’t taught anymore.

Everyone knows about Anne Frank's diary, but few know about the diary of Tatyana Nikolayevna Savicheva. She was fourteen years old when she died of tuberculosis in July 1944 after surviving the Siege of Leningrad. She kept her diary during the siege, writing about day-to-day life, and recording the deaths of her family members one by one.
Reading her story is brutal to get through. I first heard about it several years ago when listening to Michael Savage. It intrigued me. Down the rabbit hole I went. And holy shite what a story she had. fricking heartbreaking. Girl was tough as nails.
She humbled the shite out of me.

A buddy of mine from Shreveport was in a bookstore several years ago and saw an older guy sitting by himself next to a stack of books. It was George Gay, lone survivor of Torpedo 8. He was doing a book signing for his memoir. I guess it wasnt well publicized, because no one else was around. Pretty sad, but my friend got to visit with him one on one for an hour and a half.

Same thing happened in Czechoslovakia when Heydrich was murdered.
Heydrich wasn’t murdered. He was a casualty of war.
And if anything Himmler’s doctor killed him

A splenectomy was performed, and the chest wound, left lung, and diaphragm were all debrided.[125] Himmler ordered Karl Gebhardt to fly to Prague to assume care. Despite a fever, Heydrich's recovery appeared to progress well. Hitler's personal doctor Theodor Morell suggested the use of the new antibacterial drug sulfonamide, but Gebhardt thought that Heydrich would recover and declined the suggestion.[126] Heydrich reconciled himself to his fate on 2 June,
