There's so many legit taco and other Mexican places here that I really don't go to Chipotle that much.

Ha I go there every Monday. It used to be called mission burrito. So many more options as far as toppings and sauces/salsas that chipotle.

I just said I like Uberrito better than Chipotle. Doesn't mean I go there frequently.

I don’t eat at these kinds of places but it begs the question why does Chipotle’s competition seem to not have this same type of recurring problem that makes national news? Or do they and Chipotle just gets more bad press for being a bigger brand?

Near me...I love Barrio Queen as a sit down restaurant and there is a local taco shop near me called Los Favoritos that is our go to take out mexican place. And if you want 24 hour drunk Mexican food...Filibertos are everywhere here.
But there are tons of local Mexican places here. Really hard to say which one is the best. Really depends on what you are in the mood for.
