It's hilarious to me that this guy gets re-elected, knowing what we all know about semen cupcakes, rape, and pedo's...and some dude's rationalization on voting for that was that his opponent had a bankruptcy
Great work Livingston Parish, you're doing your state proud!

It’s always the mail in votes. I bet 90% of them came from nursing homes.

No, McMasters didn’t have multiple bankruptcies, and got a OWI in the military 13 years ago. Don’t believe everything you read on Facebook

First election. Spent less than 20k. Campaigned for 4 months. Met all my people face to face. Won hearts and minds. Opposition spent over half a mil. Got over 17k votes. And I lost by 117 votes. Everyone should run. If people knew what we were responsible for overseas (money and personnel), then they’d realize.
Small victories

You keep bringing that up but I’d be willing to bet there is way more here to this version of the story you keep regurgitating.
Yea the professional counselor that the child went see told the parents he was likely ‘grooming’ the girl. Like I said, I’m sure it was a complete ‘shock’ and this wasn’t a red flag at all to Ard…..

People must like a guy that over looked what his deputy was doing.
To me that was a disgraceful to the office.
People should start asking what else is overlooked in this parish.
Nope, never eating cup cakes again thanks to his buddy and wife.

So true
On both sides
People are quick to believe anything that reinforces their opinions. Pride sets in and people dig their heels in arguing lies about people that don’t even know they exist. It happens in every election at all levels.
Meanwhile, real people are slandered to score points.

Yeah it was funny reading all the experts who knew more about me vs. myself. We had a lot of laughs reading Facebook. I will say, whoever made those memes about me was gold

It was a little worse than that for some LPSO employees in my family who helped put Perkins behind bars. Their wives and children were personally harassed and they were called “pedophiles” just because they were associated with the investigation.
There were a lot of details the LPSO couldn’t speak to or release because minors were involved and a certain someone took advantage of that and painted a one-sided picture about these cases (that we read of here) knowing Ard was a sitting duck.
I’ll put it to you this way. I know what was said behind closed doors and a lot of people were manipulated and used.
I actually met you personally not too long ago, you might not even remember. You seem like a really nice guy. I hope you don’t get caught up with people who are trying to use your service record for their own personal gain.

You mean the parish prison in this case. That's how shite gets done over in the LP

One. Filed in 2004, finalized in 2005 when I was young and dumb. Care to prove me wrong with the “multiple?”

I don’t live in Livingston parish so I couldn’t vote for you. If I did, I assure you I would have.
I read a comment, in this thread I think, that someone wouldn’t vote for you because of how little experience you had in law enforcement. I kind of chuckled to myself. These folks have NO IDEA how much your military experience counts for. Those that have been around that know and are aware of just how valuable that is.
I think the half the folks in Livingston parish made a huge mistake and voted for the status quo. In addition they voted for a guy that over looked a very serious issue with someone very close to him. He may not have been fully aware of all the issues but he was aware something was wrong and chose to ignore it. My thought was “how good of a law enforcement officer is he if this is happening under his nose and he has no idea”?
Are there any rumors floating around that there may have been any election shenanigans? How is it that you guys are completely neck and neck on in person voting and so lopsided in the Mail in ballots. Seems statistically weird…
