I bumped it to the first page of the music board.
Do NOT get a Crosley.
Look at Pro-Ject or U-Turn.
You will also need a receiver with a phono stage or a phono pre amp to run into a line input.

She's making you go in circles, don't let her needle you into this purchase, skip it, start from scratch and get in the groove by getting a reel to reel player like on MadMen.

She actually said she doesn't want anything but we all know what that means. She mentioned early in our relationship she's wanted one for a while so I figured that'd be a good present. Nothing too expensive

I picked up a Crosley Nomad a few months back. Run about $175.
You don't need to break the bank for casual use. I'm sure she ain't no audiophile.

Cool. Yeah I've been looking at crosley and have seen good and awful reviews. I guess I'll keep researching. Id like to buy one by Friday so I can listen to it before and make sure it's okay.
