I drove from Shreveport to Kingsville, TX and back every other weekend for 5 months last year.
That is a 9-10 hour drive.
It sucked balls.

If you actually mean in 1 day only, then it would be from Metry to Eerie, PA. That was about 1,200 miles and 20 hours. We drove straight through.
As far as longest trip, I drove to California on 2 different occasions from Metry over the course of 2-3 days each time. Once to L.A. and once to S.F.
Eta: About 2,300 miles to S.F.

Longest:
1,009 miles from Terre Haute, IN to Denver, CO and I left at 5 in the afternoon after my last final. Dumb decision in retrospect.
I did do a 826 mile drive pretty regularly from Terre Haute down to Lafayette. I still remember the first time I did it I was scared like hell since all I had was some map quest directions and thought I would miss a turn.

The plains and west Texas are the two worst places I drove through. Just boring as shite. I have never seen so many meth'd out looking losers riding 10 speeds on the side of the highway as I did driving through Missouri.
