Local non-profit hit by thieves again
quote:
Weeks after a non-profit organziation was hit by thieves, Rebuilding Together is looking for new means of security, after they were targeted again.
quote:
Rebuilding Together helps elderly residents repair their homes. In April, a home they were working on was broken into, and their tools were stolen. A lock on a storage pod was cut, and the pod was cleaned out, even stealing a brand-new toilet that was bolted to the floor.
"We calculate they took upwards of $7,000 to $8,000 worth of inventory from us," Andrews said.
Just reinvesting in the community!

Good, they got their privilege checked. Do white people think black people can't build their own shite?

I recommend that we commission a study to find out how these unorthodox jobs program investments are helping our communities and providing skills for our residents.

Just helping them be more like their fathers and join the family business

Stealing from the elderly should be punishable by death

They didn't steal from the elderly. They reappropriated supplies from a non-profit organization to inject resource capital into the local job market. Plus, the organization now needs new tools which they will buy locally, thus generating more local tax money that can be used for our new community programs. This is good for everyone.

This will be a campaign platform within 2 years

This is LITERALLY no different from someone appropriating a loaf of bread because they're starving to death.

Not true, unless the thief sold the bread to a pawn shop and used the money for drugs.
