You need Jesus, liz

You’re little bit of doing handstands and handsprings and handjobs and drinkin til all hours of the night is going nowhere fast.

You can’t lie to yourself.

Net, I happened to wake up early today after a restful night of sleep. Jesus has nothing to offer, I promise. I am doing a-ok. Thanks for your concern.

Yeah, but i’ve Been working at this for a while now.
And to be honest the chase is exquisite. The push and pull. The delayed gratification. It’s worth another week to be able to set the table correctly.
No half measures.

Tonight got started too late anyway and other circumstances would have been in play.

The want is there and spoken. The desire is communicated. So now i’ll make sure that the prize is worth the chase. No hurries no worries. It’s all foreplay.

fr33 - that was a very eloquent description of what goes missing in LT relationships. The chase, the newness, the hunt. Thanks for the reminder.

It’s actually been refreshing. Because we live in an instant gratification world. And so we learn instant gratification techniques.

When I can reach out and pluck something from the tree, it’s easy. It may taste sweet but there’s always more, plucked just as easy. Their greatest value is usually convenience.

Now when something is more elusive...when something takes real work...so much more satisfying.

Sure, I could go and buy tomatoes from the market. I could get generic ones for cheap. Or I could pay a premium for better quality ones.

But what I get satisfaction out of is raising something from naught more than a seed. Coaxing it out the ground. Watching it sprout, the tiniest thing. Giving it somewhere to grow, feeding it, planting it, working it...

It’s effort. It’s the fact that I’ve invested a part of myself in something that makes the eventual reward taste so much sweeter somehow.

Verbosity. Good reminder to me that brevity is the soul of wit.

If it’s cheap and easy it probably ain’t good.
