Heber Springs/Greer’s Ferry is a very nice lake. Crystal clear.

The only problem is you had to pack an absolute assload of booze because the closest wet county was an hour and a half away.

My parents Lake house had so much booze by the end of it, we couldn’t remotely keep track of it. We always packed extra just in case, but over the course of 2 decades, the basement was overflowing.

Little Rock AFB was only 45 minutes away... Liquor every day of the week.

Man I wish I could go back there.

It’s more like Mountain View than Moutain Home.

And because I know someone selling on the cheap. But Im not going to really buy it. I don’t go to Pickwick enough now and it’s an hour shooter of a drive.

Getting closer to my neck of the woods.

Always pissed me off, Mountain view was literally less than 15 miles away. But you had to go 50 miles to go around the river since there was no bridge.

Ahh gotcha. I liked Mountain View. I wasn't a fan of Mountain Home. I was a recruiter in Harrison for 3 yrs. I had Boone, Carrol, Madison, Searcy and Newton counties. Our main office was mountain home area and then had an office in West plains. I know all that area very well.

Same. I think my parents had the best lot on the lake near Higden. But someone bought it from them, and our wonderful neighbor says that our buyers shunned them who took care of the property, and bushes have now ruined the estate. You can’t chop them down either thanks to the board that keeps track of it.

It was a wonderful lake to grow up around. I’m getting sad thinking about it. It makes me think of a more innocent time.
