Flying out to Tampa/Orlando area next weekend and I am bracing myself for it but will combat it with heavy amounts of Screaming Reel IPA

Don't know but I definitely know I won't be one of them. My thermostat stays at 73°. Not only for myself but my 3 golden retrievers would die of heatstroke.

I set mine for 79 when I leave for work and that is still too cold in the house for my wife since I've come home to the house at 85 multiple times.

Hopefully more Tampa for the beaches etc. You can keep Orlando no water unless it's a hotel pool or Waterpark, traffic, and dead heat. Nope

Definitely staying away from Orlando proper but didn't want to give away too personal of details of where I am going to in that area. I am pretty sure that I will be hitting up Siesta Key Beach and possibly a Rays game in order to get that stadium off of my list before they move to Montreal.

Love Tampa/St.Pete/Clearwater areas. So much to do and explore. Traffic can be a bitch at times but well worth it.

I was HUGELY interested in moving to that area since the company that I was working for had some offices near that area but I couldn't find anything to match what I have right now in Texas but you're right there are some beautiful beaches and plenty to do in that area.

Tampa/St. Pete was my favorite place.

Sadly, I lived 4 minutes away from the hernando/pasco county line. Most of my commuting was in pasco county.

Downtown Tampa is really coming back too now. I think it's called Fisherman's wharf and there is live music, good food, and even a damn cool arse bowling area in there now. I love the area around the Tampa aquarium too they have opened up some kind of old building and it's right on the waterfront with little food places in there. I am hoping jacksonville will follow Tampa's blueprint downtown. We are finally getting rid of this thing called the Landing which is horrible.

On the scale of Houston Downtown Aquarium to Georgia Aquarium, where would you rate this aquarium in Tampa?

The aquarium is about a 7 compared to one in Atlanta. Not nearly as big as Atlanta's. I have never been to Houston ' s aquarium. The area around the Tampa area,is also the cruise ship terminal but like I mentioned they have just opened that old building with all the food places in it and it has a park right on the waterfront. It's pretty awesome now.
