It was more of a trial run tonight. Took some 4 wheelers out to the edge of the woods along the bayou and played some dying rabbits over a speaker to see if any would show up.

Ed, I guess I'm a spoiled bastard but on the weekends me and my boy set up on the distressed rabbit call with a thermal and lay them down.
The key to killing yotes is to be nowhere downwind of them. Wherever you set up, at one time they were probably behind you.

One of the guys is bringing his thermal down tom night and I can see how that would be a game changer. We were right over the levee on the MS so almost everything is down wind with the breeze coming off the river. I hadn't thought of that though, maybe we can try to shift over some

No matter how yotes come into the call they always circle downwind if they are starving they will go to a gut pile.
