Best recommendation I ever got from the OT. Even the political board overlooks his personal politics, and appreciates his knowledge of history.

And that's saying something. Most of them motherfrickers are certifiably insane over there.

I will. Just at a crossroads about what I want to do for the next 30+. My job is fantastic for my field. But I'm homesick, and miss Nola. There just isn't much construction going on right now.

I'm kinda hoping to get a job with my company on the Gulf Coast. It'll probably entail a 30-40k paycut. But working on the road is mentally taxing, and I miss my family and friends to much to do this shite for decades.

But I've gotten a ton of experience. And have lived in some really cool places. So I can't complain too much.

I enjoy talking politics. But it's hard to find anywhere that regular people can talk. All political boards, regardless of what side they're one, are full of extremists.

When did being a moderate become unusual?

I think most of the country is moderate. But the nutjobs are the ones that talk about it on the internet.

The most fundementally disappointing thing I ever ate on the road were goddamn boiled peanuts in Bama.

Pro tip - regular roasted, salted peanuts - eat the whole thing, shell and all.

Broke it about a year and a half ago, currently in an on base tackle football league, second play of the game I got speared and my hand got caught between. It’s basically the middle top part of my hand in between my wrist and fingers. It’s swollen as frick right now

If you still have range of motion, waiting a few hours until morning shouldn't matter.

If there are things that won't move, possible nerve or soft tissue damage in which case I would go in now if I were you.
