So...an ultimate fate? A destiny?
Basically the viewpoint that we have a predestined end we’ll reach, and what matters is the road we take to arrive at it and the lives we affect along the way?
I mean...it’s as likely as any other.
Or perhaps a set of outcomes, multiple endgames that all might happen depending on our choices.
I guess the real question is, is the script already written and we are just choosing our own adventure, or are we writing the script and nothing is certain, therefore everything is possible?
I really need to get back into writing.

Ok.
So, let's say we both wrote down on paper what ultimately mattered. In our minds, what we wanted from 33 or 47 till death.
Would either of us choose clutter? I ask that because if I need to jog or slow down to get to my happiness, I'll do it. Choice almost seems second to second now.

I hate clutter, grew up with clutter, still fight it every day. Finally winning the fight with some help from a special someone now
I’ve got to get some other things i’ve Got to work on this year.

Not to sound like a dork but I'm more like Plato in terms of his mythology. We were split and simply looking for our other half. Love is the end game. I truly bellieve it.

It doesn’t make any sense though...that in a world of billions of people we just happened to find “the one”, and they just happened to be in close proximity to us in the period we were in.
And it supposedly happens all the time. Astronomical odds.
I’d say much more likely is there is no overarching sense to the madness, no grand purpose, and that we are beings of energy that are drawn to the orbits of other energies, and in these orbits are formed all sorts of dynamics that either draw us closer, repel us, or eventually we just drift farther and farther apart until we escape that orbit, sometimes into the orbit of another energy
Basically that there’s no grand scheme, only randomness that we attribute to such to help us not feel so alone in the universe.
Not to discount the magic that can occur between two people

The past is hardened concrete.
Today is still possible to scratch your initials in to the poured mix. Maybe make a lasting impression in it and help form it with your hands.
The further out into the future you go, the more numerous the ways it can be mixed, shaped and formed.
ETA: You are provided many “soul mates” to stumble into. Most have been journeying through eons with you. Enjoy the ride.

This is beautiful. Did you come up with it? Could I have your permission to use it in a story?

Which makes sense in anyone's method. Even in relationship failure. Declutter and focus may be the key.

100% made up and written down at this moment.
You are free to do with it as you want.

I had become so calloused I had forgotten what it was like to “fall in love”...that magic, that insane indescribable feeling of rightness. And I didn’t expect it and fought it every step of the way until one day my walls just broke.
With all I’ve been through and all I’Ve seen and experienced and learned...it’s hard to believe again. And yet in spite of myself I find these feelings i swore i’d Never feel again.
I’m just trying to savour it

Well, I hope others read it. Well done.

Good to hear and good luck brother.
Just beware the problems and temptations inherent when other soul mates cross your path. And they will. Bitter sweet sorrow that is best saved for your next re-embodiment.
ETA: Deal
Thanks Sao

I’ve been down that road and seen every side of that rotten coin. I know the Allure of it, the high...and what fools will do to chase its false promise.
Temptation abounds. I know it well. I’m behaving to the best of my ability. Hopefully i’ll Be able to keep up the good fight

Look up the lyrics to the "Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I remember the first time I read about the gods splitting people in two from their other half and thought it was beautiful.
