Never heard of it? What’s the gist?

I’m polishing off a bottle of white we opened earlier.

Any interest in etymology? Do you know why gingers are called redheads even though their hair isn’t really red?

Barrister in Australia. Trust me. Jump on it. Netflix. It's incredibly funny but with a point.

He's the lawyer the OT would employ.

How did you know I'm a ginger? Well, deep ginger now transitioned to salt and nutmeg.

Trust me. Rake should be moved up. You'll see. The writing is awesome. THE hidden gem of Netflix simply because it's several seasons old and, well, Australian.

What is the genesis of redhead, seriously? Is it a religious connotation?

I listen to a podcast called The History of English.
Basically this guy goes through the evolution of the etymology of the English language, although it really deals just as much with the historical aspects that created the English language. Fascinating.

Listened to an episode on the role of bookmaking on language and apparently all languages follow a pattern in developing words for color.

Black and white to start
Then red
Then green or yellow,
Then brown or purple
Then orange.

Even though redheads really have more of an orange tinted hair, they didn’t have a word for the color orange (which came from the fruit. It wasn’t called orange because it was the color orange, but it was called orange after the color of the fruit).

So redheads are called that because red was the closest color approximation they had for that hair color.

Not a bad way to deal with it back then I guess. I am a ginger. I am. But that takes on a range of strange hues. I was born your darker Prince Harry and it darkened from there. Total German Irish green eyed 50/50

The only thing that grows red on me is my beard. Hair on my head is dirty blonde. Rest is darker, i’m many-hued, hazel eyes. Well...eye now.

European mutt.

Shot in the eye about 3 months before I was supposed to go into the marines. They wanted to send me to officer school.

I’ll be 33 soon.

Got shot when I was 18.
If you ascribe to multiverse theory even a bit...there’s a version where a second and an inch are different and I don’t lose it and fulfill my warrior’s destiny.
I think I die in that one though. I’ve dreamed it.

Crazy to think how the slightest alterations skew our trajectories

Tha frick, Mate? Any way we can complete a foot progress forward at this point to skew fate?

Huh?
I mean in the theory there exist countless small alterations...rolls of the dice that all occur, and all lead to different outcomes.

Or perhaps it’s only a few meaningful events that each occur on individual trajectories of existence...moments where you might have juked when you should have jived...

I don’t know. I just know the dreams I’ve had...so vivid, dying on foreign battlefields in the past. I don’t know what to make of it all

I guess in short I'm again trying to reeducate my mind on fate. That jogging to my car or slowing down to reach it wouldn't matter. Or would it? How do you choose...

It’s bizarre to think about. Not infinite trajectories...but not just one. At pivotal moments this sort of metaphysical die being rolled, and all the outcomes occurring simultaneously on different planes, even though this consciousness only experiences This outcome.

We are but a fragment of the possible...and all play out...somewhere, somehow, somewhen, in the maddening infinities

Of course it’s all really a pointless endeavor, since this us exists in this plane and the choices in this plane are all that matter to this us.

Whether they occur or not, the only one we can walk is the road we take at each fork.

But it seems sometimes we can get a glimpse in the supernal realms of the paths we took without realizing.

All seems like the goal is to seek the easiest path to happiness and love before being hit by the grill of a bus. Everything in between is deterrent steps to the street. Has to be.
