Met the future FIL for dinner and asked permission to marry his daughter. Came home and had some good Cabernet. Saving the great bottles for the actual party.

Thanks Saint. I really appreciate it. The parents were a little unsure about her moving back towards Nola with me but I think this helped show that I'm all in. 
I'm excited to be closer to home and I think she is too. Technically we will be in Slidell but it's a helluva lot closer than Lafayette or Lake Chuck.
After my divorce I had practically given up, which really hit me hard because I wanted kids. im sure the right person will come into your life when the time is right. Until then, yolo.
Now back to the food thread, what do y'all recommend snacking on with wine, I'm not a big fan of plain cheese.
