I hated being stuck stateside. As crazy as it sounds, I loved the deployments. A lot of guys get stuck in the wrong MOS and their experience is terrible. I was lucky, I guess.

I went Army and after scoring a 92 on my ASVAB I was still placed as a 62 Juliet (heavy machine operator) but I was told after a year I could request to be moved to a different unit
