Sounds like you had a solid night catching the fish. I was planning a trip for four to London in late October. The jags play the Eagles in wimbley stadium Oct 28th. Had the plane tickets and hotel set so i go to purchase 4 tickets to the game. Shitty nosebleed tickets going for over 500.00 a piece. frick that Trip canceled.

I sure do miss doing some fishing on the bayous and small lakes. I grew up with a fishing rod in my hand. Every summer I was out of school I remember going across the levee and casting in Lil Alabama and catching some smallmouth bass and bull brimm. Now it's pretty much just saltwater fishing on a charter or buying it fresh from a fish market.

You ought to join S and I in Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s a great time.

I just like getting out with my son and spending time with him. He loves doing it and it does me good seeing him enjoying himself.

Heard that's where the world record is for largest largemouth bass?
I may be wrong on that though.

I barely beat S in our Jai Alai match today. I’m gonna be feeling in the morning.

Unfortunately my kids would never appreciate the simplest pleasures like having a large mouth bass hit a top water bait. Nothing like watching a spinner bait glide across the top of a early morning steamy bayou and watch it dissappear and the rod bending. Damn I think I just jeezed my pants on that fond memory. My kids love surfing and swimming but fishing they do not have the like or patience for.

We dug a 10 acre pond/Lake here on the land a few years ago and got it stocked and it’s been good fishing.

Now if I would have had something like that growing up I would have been in heaven. I had some secret spots that were 82.7% successful but never had that keyword STOCKED where I did my fishing. I may not have left Louisiana if I had your lake.

Paul on scale of 1-10 where do you fall on the outdoorsman scale?
I give myself a solid 6 now about 25 years ago I would have said a 9.

Four years navy service.

Could have gone seals or ranger but the world didn't need another trained killer at the time. (My OT response)
