I have miranda rights memorized and I’m not a cop.

I assume the departments may want them to read it from the card when Live PD is filming just to avoid any possibility of messing up and leaving part of it out and having it on video for the defense to use.

It’s not that they don’t know it. It is to ensure that it is done perfectly and the exact same way every time they do it. If they were to in the heat of the moment switch around a preposition or something, some defense attorney would eat their lunch in court. Seems silly, but they do it for consistency.
