I pray that some of the names on your list are in the group of remains that just got turned over. A soldier dying in war and getting sent home in a casket is terrible for a family. A soldier that never comes home in any manner is even more horrific.
I hope some of those families get some closure, even if it took 50 years to find out the fate of their sons, brothers, husbands, etc.

My grandfather never spoke to me about the circumstance but he refused to donate to the Red Cross when he was alive but it had to do with his brother.

I am actually named after one of those on the list. My grandfather’s brothers remains have never been found. Thank you for posting this as It has sparked an interest in me since 50 remains are being sent home.
