Also look into a term policy that will allow you to convert to permanent at some point if needed.

I would use the online places that have been recommended in this thread honestly. I am licensed but I hate doing the paperwork to write a policy so I don't do them. I bought my personal policy through USAA

If you are uninsurable at some point in your life. They can't take that policy away. A term policy expires. Let's say you get diabetes at some point or a catastrophic illness (Da aids), you get to keep that policy until you either stop paying on it or die.


I really should defer to the insurance gurus here. It's not really my area of expertise.
