From what I have been reading here, about 30 years from now you can expect the state of La to surprise you your great grandchildren with an exhorbetent bill for the time grand pappy mpar willfully violated the state statute regarding vehicle tags.....of course, they will be allowed to pay the $10 tag fee plus $5,000 in interest and all will be forgiven.....

Yea I'm not saying I condone it. My plates were up to date for fwiw it was just in a really bad spot and was constantly getting demolished by road debris and everything else so I just took it off instead of losing it.

in Alabama they will pull you over but if you have the registration for it, they won't give you a ticket. I have a construction company so plates disappear about once a year and I get pulled over a few times for it.

Just tell them you bought it from Texas. They don't require you to register trailers in Texas so often times if you buy a trailer from a private seller there you have a hard time getting a plate for it in LA.
