Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice foot remainder of student’s tuition bill

Is this what we’ve come to as a society? Panhandling for tuition? I understand that there is a connection there since she was a student trainer, but it doesn’t seem right. Starting a GoFundMe page to get other people to pay your way through school when you are completely capable of paying your own way through school seems completely ridiculous. I don’t like paying student loans, but I believe it was worth it to attain what I have. What’s next? A GoFundMe page to pay her mortgage and car note as well?

If I would have known this would have made the OT I would have taken out a loan to split it into 3rds.

Did you even read the GoFundMe description?

Says she tried to get several loans and she was rejected.

She is a 5th year senior was on TOPS until it ran out after her 4th year concluded.

And honestly $5000 is almost exactly right and that should cover tuition and books with a little bit left over. This is a solid use of gofundme, especially compared to all the really terrible awful gofundmes out there.

I am raising money to fund my senior year of college. I will be a 5th year senior at LSU, meaning that I will no longer receive TOPS (due to TOPS being a 4 year college program) I have tried to apply for several loans but have gotten turned down for every single one. This means that I will have to pay for my tuition out of pocket. I am really in need and would appreciate any donation that is given. $1, $5.... anything helps! I’ve worked too hard & I’ve come to far to stop now!

So, by your reasoning, if I can’t afford to pay cash for my vehicle and I can’t get financing then I should start a GoFundMe page?

You know it's an optional funding website, right? She's clearly being honest and upfront about what she wants and apparently people that know her that want to pay for her fees. I dont see the problem with this.

You can start a gofundme for that, see how it works out for you.

Exactly. I was 18 years old with nothing on my credit file, and I was approved for student loans. Please, tell me how that happens?

So you’re too poor to have your parents pay and too stupid to get a scholarship?

I might have been OK if GoFundMe was around when I was in college.

Has anyone mentioned how you can take France in the 90 minute line with a side bet on the draw for insurance at a much better rate than the France “draw no bet” line?

It’s very interesting, but idk what it means

That's common knowledge.
