wasn't it either earlier this year or back in the fall where a tornado in Iowa went like 120 mph?
I'm not sure of the official stat on it, but that was the Derecho (maybe not officially) event a few days after the Kentucky storms back in December.

Go ahead and throw that fricker up in the closest tree line.
Or, better yet, take it four or five houses to the South and just wait.

Smart. It’ll end up right back in his yard

meh. that tornado hit 30 yards behind my parents and moved their trampoline like a ft.
might get bold and put it in the front yard see how far it really can go

If this happens that would be impressive. Nearest tree line to my north is a couple miles away.
If it is a goner I can live with that, just don't want it hitting the neighbor's house.

You gotta pray it goes a long way away where nobody knows that it’s yours. Gives you plausible deniability

When we were kids we had one end up about 25ft up in a tree line across the road from our house. The craziest part is that it had to either jump the power lines near the trees or go under them and immediately get lofted. That was from straight line winds, maybe from RFD because there was a confirmed tornado that passed just to our North during those storms. We were in the neighbor's basement and came out to see part of our roof laid over and the trampoline had been relocated.

There's one from America's Funniest Videos a few weeks ago where a woman is on the front porch when the wind picks up. She must hear something and goes running around the side of the house. About the time she gets out of sight of the security camers she comes back in frame but is getting taken out by a flying trampoline. She was fine. I laughed.
I can't find it online, though.

Legend how fast is this line supposed to be moving through DFW and into LA?
We talking like 50-60mph here or a slow-moving boundary???

Slower moving than farther to the East. It'll take a few hours and have some mess behind it. That's according to the HRRR.
It is really just starting to get its act together heading into DFW. It goes from a blob to a narrow line to a wider line with storms behind it. I guess it depends on exactly where it forms.

I had tennis shoes on. I wear jeans and boots every day I wasn’t about to burn my Casper the ghost feet and shins by wearing shorts and sandals
