Honestly if you would have told me to guess which 2 ex NFL guys would get in a fight at a youth football game, Talib and Blount would have been my first 2 guesses.

The best part about the Boise state punch was it was a game made all about sportsmanship. At the beginning of the game both teams lined up across the field and shook hands at midfield. It was televised and the announcers talked about it. Then they brawl at the end.
I will go to my grave saying that Boise state player deserved it. He did. And you’ll never convince me otherwise. That gif cuts out the part where he got in blounts face. frick that dude.
All that being said, Blount is a fricking thug and it has nothing to do with that boise state incident.

This altercation was more than a year in the making.
Boise beat Oregon on the road the previous year.
That summer, either SI or ESPN did an article on the game and directly quoted Blount saying, Boise deserved an arse whoopin'.
After the game, the Boise player went up to him and said,"how bout that arse whoopin'!!!" Essentially, making him eat his own words. Blount lost it, and threw the punch. I watched Scott frost and a couple cops drag him off the field. Outside the visitor locker, Blount was getting ready to fight Scott Frost and Frost body slammed him up against a brick wall before pushing him into the locker.
Watched the entire ordeal occur no more than 100 feet from where I was during the game.

Oh you’re right. In the longer clip it was obvious he deserved it. Promise you that wasn’t the first or last time that dude got decked!

You obviously didn’t see the game. Look at the whole thing and get back to me.
You may be on to something after all - I have been ejected from a game or three.

He also physically touched Blount. He deserved the punch.

Blount talked all kinds of shite despite losing to Bouse the year before. Also, he lied in an interview and said 92 said the N word. Bull shite. Agreed the he very lightly tapped in shoulder to get attention because he had already fought with his teammates. It was a pussy arse bitch cheap shot and you defending it tells me all I need to know about you defending that pos

This is exactly the right take.

Then you remember it wrong. When he lightly tapped his shoulder he was standing to the side.

That was not a light tap on the shoulder. I had to go back and rewatch the incident. It wasn't a punch, but it was not a light tap. He should not have touched him at all. It deserved a response.
I'm not defending Blount's character or truthfulness about what was said.
