What Republicans don't want it legalized? Have you payed attention to this board? It's 90% republican and 90% of us want it legalized.

I’m a Republican and support legalization, but it’s definitely not deep blue states that are fighting legalizing recreational marijuana.

Damnit, Republicans now have another reason to fight legalization

Sounds like they need to legalize it for Republican women.

Gotta avoid the demographics trap Europe has fallen into.

Our former Republican Governor (Matt Bevin) refused to sign any legalization bills with this comment:

quote:

There are people overdosing based on ingestion of products that are edibles and things. You have [Colorado] being sued by at least two of their border states. You have law enforcement people in emergency rooms being overrun by problems. You have homelessness spiking in that state. It has not been good for that state, and states like us would be wise to look at that and realize that’s a sucker’s bet.

In other words it’s been the same old BS reefer madness argument. Thankfully our new Governor, Beshear (D) is open to medical and would probably be open to full if the state legislators were behind it. I think Democrats here are going for medical as a “baby step” since you still have legislators here from conservative areas who refuse to support even decriminalization.

Keep in mind these are the same people who refuse to allow sports gaming or casinos too while we watch our tax money go to Indiana where it’s legal. So the idiocy isn’t exclusive to marijuana.

It’s funny how uninformed many of you are. The Democrat front runner......

quote:

Biden – who said in 2010, "I still believe it's a gateway drug," and "legalization is a mistake" – was asked at a town hall in Las Vegas if his position had changed.

"No, it hasn't changed," Biden said.

LINK

Republican President Donald J Trump....

quote:

WASHINGTON — President Trump appeared to break with his own administration’s policy on Friday, saying that he was likely to support a legislative proposal to leave the decision to states about whether to legalize marijuana.

You want legalization? Vote Trump 2020.

There’s a whole group of republicans called evangelicals who don’t. Your more moderates are for it. It’s the hard right that’s against it.

Again, it’s funny how many of you are so uninformed.

I don’t blame you though. You’ve been fed propaganda by what you think is legitimate new for so long you don’t know any better.
