That sucks. 6 years is way too long if it was non violent, no weapons, no one there.

You keep saying this and it’s wrong. Unless the conviction was for something worse than you’re saying OR you’ve been in trouble since. Tell us the truth, OP.

OP has a legit felony he is not telling us about.

OP clearly hasn't learned anything in 30 years.

It appears that felony expungement in Texas has an even lower bar than it does in LA, and some of those remedies date back to well over a decade ago

What’s going on here?

What property did you burgle? Must’ve been something expensive or illegal to get 6 years. Any prior arrests before that incident?

Reason I’m asking, people have done less time for murder in New Orleans.

I agree. Burglary of a habitation is 5 - 99. I could of received 99 if they wanted.

The judge was an arse. He added one extra year because I ran from the police.

Anyway, like I said, I'm not that person anymore. I leaned my lesson and have done my best to stay the course.

Thanks for that bit of information.

Honestly, he's given us enough information to start a broad scan to find out who he is.

Isn't that an extra charge?

Burglary of a habitation.

Six year sentence.

First time offense. First and only offense.

Burglary in Texas is 5 - 99 years. They gave me six. The extra year was for running from the police.

Right, but what was the added charge?

Evading police normally carries a charge.

30.06
30-30
12 Gauge Shotgun
VCR
Some small trinkets...

Everything taken, was returned in the same condition.

I was a bad thief. I had no time to get rid of any evidence.

No. That's LA law... TX will have their own laws.

I had tried. I stayed in a Extended Stay for awhile.

I had been looking for an apartment for about five, six months. They were the only ones who were willing to work with me on the felony.

However, they would only let me move there if the Trustee of my inheritance would agree to pay the rent. At the time, I thought it was the best decision. So, I made it.

Honestly, it seems like getting it expunged is NOT available for you in Texas.

From what I can tell you're fricked in TX. If you were convicted you'd need a pardon from the Governor before you can have your record expunged.
