I gotta be honest with you, as someone who doesn't make a whole lot of money it kinda feels good to hear that overpaid oilfield workers are getting a dose of reality.

my uncle who is 56 been out there for his whole life wnd 14 yrs currently with this company, laid off monday. sucks

My dad started giving me more money last week

My wife just had to take a major cut to her base rate, but it applied to whole team , not just her. Apparently her company believes in lowering pay to get the bad people to quit instead of just firing the underperformers, which seems backwards to me. We had decided she was going back to school regardless before this happened, so this just made the decision that much easier.

I took a 20% raise at 1-1-15 and got a 20% salary bonus at 12-15-14. We have more work than we know what to do with.

Life is good in commercial construction.

Which is why I said it was backwards She's the only one that consistently has met her quota. If they just trimmed the losers and didn't cut base rates, she might not have been leaving. Oh well.
