I recently moved to a new home in NOLA and knew I wouldn’t have time to update my adress at the DMV, register to vote , etc in time for this mayor’s race— so admittedly i didnt pay very much attention to these candidates ... but listening to them just now in their celebration/concesssion interviews on local tv, Charbonnet sounds, for lack of a better word— lots more ‘polished’ than Cantrell.. i think that actually counts for something, especially in a City that’s about to be catapulted onto the world stage to celebrate it’s 300th birthday... plus i just think it woulda been cool to have someone named Desiree’ Charbonnet leading a French/American City.

You’re right, it cant be argued that St Tammany can come close to NOLA in re to quality of life... i live in a relatively crime-free area of New Orleans (on par with any area of St Tammany in that regard) but i’m literally a 10 min Uber ride from some of the best restaurants on the planet, some of the best museums (inc the WWII museum) in the country, and any sort of drinking establishment or venue you can imagine.. i can jog 10 min to the Lakefront, and enjoy any number of outdoor activities .. and if someone comes to visit me, they could stay a week and still not make a dent in all that there is to see and do here, without having to drive 45 min across the world’s longest bridge... but hey, at least you have Ruby’s Roadhouse, La Provence in Lacombe, and a million chain restaurants.

LaToya's husband dropped a joint in court while acting in his official capacity as city attorney and her father in law is currently the subject of two separate cases: one is a federal class actions for violation of rights and abuse of power and the other is failure to pay taxes. Another thing LaToya doesn't do. Pay taxes correctly.

I saw Desiree in person a few weeks ago. For her age (around 50), she is kind of attractive. Petite and well groomed.
A lot better looking than Latoya.
