I think she's terrible, but no one would have ever considered canceling Mardi Gras at that point in time. We were all more concerned about tandem floats.
And everyone would have still been out partying the whole time anyway.

The day after Mardi Gras the City of New Orleans held a press conference to say they were confident that there was no heightened danger of coronavirus during carnival season. They knew the threat and the danger of putting that many people together.

Who’s saying that?
The first real weekend of Mardi Gras began on Feb 13th. No one had that type of foresight to know the severity of this pandemic at that that time.
No one even had it on their radar the next weekend or even Mardi Gras day 12 days later.

Her issue wasn't not cancelling Mardi gras. She would've never done it nor should anyone blame her for not doing it.
Her issue is acting like everything I just said should be completely ignored and trump should've been more serious so she would've cancelled Mardi gras.

I wish I could. Blitzer hit her once and then bought into her excuses the minute she opened her mouth. If you're stupid it can sound logical. If you know the roles and purposes of government (as taught in middle school social studies) you can spot that BS in a nanosecond. I didn't really get a feel for how spot on the OT was about her until I lost a few brain cells listening to her try to shift all blame.

If they weren't worried about, then there was no need to say so the day after Mardi Gras. Filling up hotels and making money was more important to city leaders than unnecessarily endangering many people.

Bruh Trump got hammered on Jan 31st for calling the travel ban.
He called a travel ban and he got hammered.
Imagine if he would have called Latoya and JBE to cancel MG a week later to cancel MG.
Should he have called Disney, all the Ski Resorts and Spring Break locations to close down at the beginning of February?
