Look, it sounds like you are in a funk. I was in a funk too a couple of months ago. So I went to Portland with my bud and we went on a strip club tour of the city. We ate a damn fine steak and watched all sorts of chicks get naked and say hilarious things to thirsty bros. You need your strip club tour.

Tacoma or like out out?

I just bought a house right on the South Sound. It's pretty nice.

South of Tacoma, right?

If I was still single I'd have already moved out that way. It's the best of both worlds. If I want to be an urban degenerate one day and climb a mountain the next, I can.

One of my life goals is to buy out everyone on Orcas or Vashon Islands and secede. Ineffable beauty that I want all to myself.

I guess I'm technically west. Around ten miles from downtown Tacoma and 40 miles from downtown Seattle. And my view is pretty great.

I can see Fox and Macneil Island from my house. There are a lot of great places just outside Seattle that have such awesome views.

Being able to see such incredible natural beauty every day when you walk out is a hard thing to put a price on. We don't really have anything comparable in the South.

Yeah. Some places driving you see Rainier looking gigantic and awesome. And then the water. It's great.

I am, of course, extremely biased, but the rolling hills and forests of Alabama north of Birmingham and south of the Tennessee (and extending to the east along the Appalachian chain) are gorgeous, and no one ever visits them. It has its own vibe and appeal, but the scale doesn't even compare to the West (or even further up the mountains).
