Went saw Hamilton tonight. Center orchestra about 12 rows back.

What a bunch of bull crap. They can have that mess.

I have no idea what those bunch of singing and dancing guys were saying about 3/4 of it.

And those bunch of pretentious white people in there had no idea as well. But they all acted like it was the best thing they heard since the telephone.

thats pretty bad. ive had 1 friend who was like that. we all knew it was coming like youre saying. this guy could consume a ridiculous amount of drugs and alcohol and he was a big guy on top of that. he was one of those guys that i dont think rehab would have ever helped

I’m sorry to whose sister is going through it. Alcohol abuse is tough. I have the urge to down a bottle every few days but I’ve fought it back pretty hard for a few years now.

I’ve been watching Steve-O footage and encouraging my father to do the same to encourage him. Steve-O’s father is an objectively great man who changed an industry, and my dad is that as well. The thing is my dad was always comfortable being the little guy and just wanted to be well off, but not rule the world. There’s no doubt in my mind that my dad would be the CEO of Fortune 500 company if he wanted it, but he refused to move from Mississippi and compromise his life with his family.

Instead he decided to make companies millions at a time and do whatever the frick he wanted to. Most sales forces are armies, he’s the specialty sniper that takes out the leader making there no reason for there to be an army. I do think I can make an argument for him being the best salesman in the nation and is exceptionally well respected in his industry to where no one can do what he does. He launched a major, major product that all of you are familiar with, and didn’t openly take credit for it outside of the industry and could have made far more if it weren’t for the love of his family.

I was hoping this was the case with my sister, but my dad and Mom don’t deserve this shite. Both fine parents who happened to have a shitty daughter. It’s ripping me apart as well. I cried making this post.

She’s been to rehab 3 times. It’s time to let her drown. I and my parents don’t deserve this.

Reads like you're over the guilt part, the helplessness is hard to get over, but you don't really need to. It's not your decision anymore.

Thanks! Highly thinking of calling in and saying I need an extended break to help my parents. I just don’t want them to have a heart attack and handle the hard part if worst comes to worst. I don’t want my parents to see their dead daughter if I can for them.

I found out about a guy from our past who really fricked her up, and I think it’s rather likely he will show up to the funeral. I’ve already warned my closest friend (who is a preacher) to make sure he does not come within sight of my parents and is kicked the frick out immediately.

I'd let that person in. Make sure they knew, what everyone knows, and saw the eventuality of their actions. Sorry if that offends.

Im sorry you're going through this. I am in a similar situation. My brother is a heroin addict and I am always waiting on the call saying that he's gone. My family and I have been trying to help him for 10 years and he has never stayed sober for longer than a few months. He's drained my parents emotionally and financially. Our entire family is done. It's very hard and profoundly sad.

Damn sorry to hear this tonight. Any consolidation I have a uncle that fought alcoholism pretty much his whole life. He put himself and my grandparents through hell he even tried to blow his brains out one night after he was wasted but my grandfather talked him out of it. He went through two marriages and just couldn't get it together. He beat his addiction finally and started his own business and got remarried and just retired early about 5 years ago. Just hope you two might get to see this happen.

I mean, her last relapse... she’s there. I talked with her and she fully plans on dying by the end of the night. I’m stressed out of my mind
