Lariat. IF you don't care about power/heated/AC seats and smart key access, you can likely get an XLT and just add leather to it. But the Lariats come with a lot of additional features standard that while not "necessary" are nice to have in a modern vehicle.

Last week I traded in a 2013 lariat 4x4. 120k miles. Dealer gave me $21k for it. Could not pass up the deal on a limited that sat on the lot for almost a year!

I’d say Lariat if you want a sunroof.

I specifically sought out a Lariat that didn't have a sunroof or electric running boards...both are a waste of money

Naw....the benefit of not having ugly chrome running boards on your truck is worth it in my view.

I don’t have either. I have a XLT and wife has a STX. I didn’t want or need a sunroof/leather.

The only differences that I was told by the salesman when we bought our F250 Lariat XLT is heated/cooled rear seats and heated/cooled steering wheel.

Oh yeah, plus the $10K price difference.

What is cheesy is that stupid FX4 decal that they slap on the truck.

Even flat black isn't as clean of a look as none.

whatever you do, get one with oem LED lights. It is amazing to me that Ford won't offer them on an XLT. Even the most basic model cars these days come with LED headlights and all of the safety features stock. The stock halogen lights are terrible, although you can always do the aftermarket thing, the stock LED just makes life much simpler.

Starting in 2021 models this is all available in an XLT

XLT with 302a gets the LED, push button start, blind spot, adaptive cc with lane centering

HATE this feature in my Accord. The ACC is a pain in the arse to deal with and I turned the lane centering off. Way too annoying.

Maybe not but there are almost no features between the XLT and Lariat that are worth 10k to me. It's a truck, not a Lambo.

Great to know. It is about time. Having to buy Morimoto, Alpha Rex, or Vland headlights is a hassle and expensive. Not to mention the quality gamble that buying aftermarket anything can be.
