Can't wait for someone to come in and complain about this increase then demands underground T&D.
Entergy is run like the government.
Any argument for giving Entergy more money should be considered the same as an argument for giving the Louisiana government more money.
I'd pay much higher fuel taxes starting tomorrow if I honestly beleived the additonal money would go to better roads, but I know it will not.
I'd pay much higher electricity prices starting tomorow if I honestly believed the additional money would go to a more reliable grid, but I know it wil not.
You must not remember - or maybe you are not from here and don't know - how the state did us dirty with the gambling and lottery money "going for education".

Why isn't there some pressure on Entergy to reinvest some of their profits into improving the grid instead of just repeating repairs to the same fragile easily damaged infrastructure?
Also, in this instance it would have been relatively simple for PSC to play hardball with Entergy and demand they settle the refunds owed to the customers before they got this add-on fee.
Entergy invests in the grid: comes out of their profits
Entergy instead just repairs the grid as needed: does not come out of their profits since they pass the cost along to customers, along with a processing fee, I'm sure.

and in the next 15 years will likely have another 3/4 major storms that impact the grid
Of course. This is just the latest fricking they are giving the LA people.

This rate increase is in addition to the roughly $10/month Entergy Louisiana customers are already paying for storms Laura, Delta and Zeta.

I am a team player, but I dont understand why someone that chooses to live in an unaffected area would get saddled with 66 bucks a year, or 1000 bucks over 15 years to pay for repairs to infrastructure they dont use.

Wow. This is so sad. Y’all all love us when we turn back on your power after a hurricane but now you say we aren’t even worth a little 5.50 a month.
Sad how y’all forgot about your entergy heroes
