In a new report from a New Orleans-area investigative reporter, Lake Charles showed the most new positive cases per capita in the United States last week.

According to Fox 8's Lee Zurik, who has been tracking COVID-19 data since the pandemic struck, the Lake Charles metropolitan tops the list of new positive cases per capita with 406 new cases per 100,000 residents over the last week.

Another Louisiana city, Lafayette, also made the top-ten list with 270 new positive cases for every 100,000 residents.

Idk but about a week or so ago I asked my brother how the hospital in LC where he works is. He’s a pharmacist and said they had maybe 3/4 covid it’s in the icu. He hadn’t even been tested ever. Not sure why that surprised me but it did.

No but the casinos are packed and all of the Karen's are pissed about that and blaming the Texans coming to the casino.

Truth is this is from a huge backlog of testing and young college students at bars apparently but the news won't print that.

I'm not. See my post above yours. I think KPLC is being irresponsible in their reporting by leaving out the truth.

ETA: Per capita is their way of scaring people. Doing the math this is like 326 cases over a week.

100% correct

Kids went to parties, OBs, and Cowboys and it ended up with a bunch of mild cases with loss of smell and taste being the main symptom.

I work at Memorial in Lake Charles and for the whole Covid crises they had one floor designated for Covid patients. As of last Thursday, they now have 2.5 floors for Covid. 1/2 of one floor is under construction. You can’t tell me it’s worse now than back in April. Something is fishy. My guess is they are bringing in people who hardly show symptoms to stay a night or two just to get that Covid cash.

Everyone should delete their KPLC fakebook page, they’re the worst.
