Great post

A true North/South freeway would be great also - Airline Hwy, and Siegen/Sherwood are the only straight N/S routes through town.

locals using the interstate as a local road, due to everyone living outside the city limits of Baton Rouge.

Life in BR:
Work - Bluebonnet, Essen, west bank plants, or State of LA downtown
Shop - Siegen or Bluebonnet
Live - St. George, Ascension Parish, or Livingston Parish

Agree... but I don't know where you would put it. Airline would work obviously but it's not truly north-south.

the best thing for the city would be to work toward completing airline hwy as originally intended from 12 to the old bridge
FYI - They've already begun looking at this.
