Nah...just driving by. I live near the Rouse's in Youngsville. Though I do wonder about that place, as it's always packed. I'm assuming gambling or prostitution, because I can't think of any reason a barber shop right there ought to be that busy. FWIW, I'm Robert M's all the way!

I went once. There was no women in there so I'm assuming gambling. Interesting place.

I didn't limit it to female prostitution...

Seriously though...the place is constantly wall to wall packed with trucks. Something ain't right...

That's true. The same contractor that did Jones creek is also doing verot. It will be along time before it's done

and they are the same ones who did the last phase of the central throughway.

It has to be killing the businesses located out there.

I went look at a house in a neighborhood out near Verot recently.

A. frick all that construction and traffic

B. On a map, it looks closer to where I'd want to live, than it actually feels when driving around there

I know the guy who owns it. There are like 4 barbers in there. You have to go by appointment, but if you don't your wait is very very long. Weird sort of place, kind of a hipster type. Definitely nothing special about the haircut, not worth the wait.

We're under contract for a house off of East Bayou. Should close in a couple weeks or so.

Just wait, once they finish they will tear it back up because they realized they fricked something up. The engineers that design these streets in Lafayette are fricking idiots.

Here's the thing...if you look at the photo I posted above, you'll notice that the outer portion of the road is what they are working on now. They aren't finished with them all, but the two outer portions are what's being partially laid now. That means that what's next is they are going to have to rip up the entire middle portion which will obviously be three lanes (one being a turn lane in the middle)...so there's all the tearing shite out time, then adding whatever underlay goes in...then concrete.

Aside from the fact that this will make it impossible to even cross the road from one side to the other, it'll be 5 years before it's ever complete. At this point, I think I would have preferred them to leave it the frick alone...
