It's going to take 5 years like Jones Creek did in Baton Rouge.

I avoid it but had to drive there the other day. They were actually working on it, but you're right, they busted everything up and just stopped everything for a long time it seems.

This. Looks like they are building the road really low it's going to be interesting what it looks like when they finish in 20 years.

I live right off verot by fat pats, they've done absolutely nothing for the past 6 months except the drainage. Last week they finally started doing night construction again but I still haven't seen any real progress.

Another great Louisiana road project

That's true. The same contractor that did Jones creek is also doing verot. It will be along time before it's done.

I noticed that. Just passed Camelia blvd, it looks like the road is like 1ft maybe 2ft lower than the old road.

Aside from the fact that it's taking for-fricking-ever, what's up with the actual road being laid down?

I took this photo a week or so ago. They have started laying down road on the outer parts when you cross Amb Caffery, but in most places they are WAAAAAAAY below where the road actually was. I'm assuming it's a drainage thing, but holy shite! Take a look at the ramp that you'll have to drive in/out of to get to some places on Verot now...

It's about a 3' drop right there. Anyone know why? This area already flooded like crazy...is the idea to divert water away from businesses and hopefully into whatever drainage they added underneath there, or did they just frick it up that badly?

Must have some type of drainage system being installed.

Most days no one is doing anything of substance. Now...why THAT is I don't know. But, things tend to take longer to get done when they are not being done, so that's problem #1.

There will be whole days that go by, when weather is not an issue, that I'll drive by and see no one working at all. Other days when you'll drive past it and see guys milling around drinking stuff, but no machinery doing anything. Honestly, most times you pass there doesn't seem to even be a plan.

Passed by the other day and was sitting at the light at Camellia heading towards Amb Caffery, and there was a handwritten note on one of the lighting rigs that simply read "This doesn't work." How apropos.

Nah...just driving by. I live near the Rouse's in Youngsville. Though I do wonder about that place, as it's always packed. I'm assuming gambling or prostitution, because I can't think of any reason a barber shop right there ought to be that busy.

FWIW, I'm Robert M's all the way!
