Can't believe no one has yet to mention Tawana sp? The white guy who used to impersonate a black woman with a ton of kids on the KSMB morning show with Bobby Novasad in the 90s. I think about this sometimes like damn...that shite really used to happen and everyone was just OK with it

I never thought until this moment that this would offend anyone.

What a loser generation we live in now. I might call 94.5 tomorrow morning and request tawana. I can’t believe you remembered that

My memories were going to the Northgate mall before the Acadiana Mall opened up. Also my grandparents lived in Broussard and going through soybean and sugarcane fields watching them build St.Thomas Moore as we traveled to the new Acadiana Mall. My partying days were going to the Strip on the weekends and a place called Denium and Diamonds around Sunset or Carencro when 18 was still the drinking age in La. Yes I am getting old

In the day and age when pancake mix is racist. Imagine the outrage of a white guy impersonating a ghetto black woman talking about her 20 kids

I used to play on that robot slide at Girard Park when I was a kid visiting my grandma’s house behind St Patrick’s.

What about the guy from the shop in Broussard who would call in to KSMB “hey Bob, Bob Bobabob”

Considering I lived on the bayou off Moss Street and had to go to Northside , I try to forget 1998-2002 hahah.
Now , working at CiCis Pizza & Lafayette Lanes midnight bowling were some of the best times of my young adult life.
High School kids stealing wine from the bar & being locked in a bowling alley until 5:45 am was an experience all young men should have.
In all seriousness, there was never a racial issue at Northside. We were all poor & colorblind and it was 100% better that way. Sad my HR webinars tell me I must see race.
