Yeah you go ahead and name me a theater that did have comfortable seats back in the 80s.

I remember the seats in the theatre in Abbeville kicked arse back then. They had thick cushions and reclined/rocked almost to a horizontal position!

Also The Landing - Damn fine restaurant. Once they changed owners though it went down the crapper.

The Queen wasn't a paddleboat. It was just a barge-like tour boat. We used to love spraying it while hydro-sliding.

Spraying the Queen vs. Riding the Queen

River Rats rope swing vs. skim boarding in the Alleman schoolyard after it rained.

Bike jumps at trhe Iron Bridge vs. beer games at The Barn.

Slutty freak girls at Nightcaps vs. Slutty sorority girls at The Pub.

The Drug Olympics at The Kingfish vs. The Drug Olympics at The Intersection.

Quarter 'Til at La Promenade Mall vs. Alladin's Castle at the A. Mall.

50 cent Pabst at The Caboose vs. nickel draft night at Shannihan's.

No Doubt at The Metropolis vs. 311 at The Metropolis.

To this day, I have no idea how that guy got those bands to play there.

Didn't the Loose Caboose have a big aluminum tub in the middle of the bar that you could just grab beer out of.

When I was in high school, LVC had just opened. It was a pretty nice muni. I went home for Christmas a few years ago and went out and played it. It's a total goat farm now. Not as bad as that parking lot that is Muni, but still a shadow of its former self.
