I think the orignal Lafondas was over there too
Still there, though they're more known for their bar than the food.

Lafondas margaritas are the strongest little bastards I've ever had and still taste good.

No, I meant the original original Lafonda. It was on Johnston across from Durels animal hospital/the old Superstore.

I lived in Lafayette until Jr. High School. Does anyone remember the name of the fast food burger joint that used to give out those plastic floppy records as the toy in the kid's meal? They had Halloween sounds and stuff like that on the records and they played just like a 45.
I think it was Burger Chef. There was one on the corner of Verot School and Pinhook.

I remember driving home from dinner with my parents, going down Doucet road and seeing a huge breast on the screen. Those were the good old days.
One of my best friends growing up lived almost right across Doucet from the drive in. He built a tree house in his backyard strategically positioned to be able to view the movies.

Pretty sure there has never been a burger place on that corner unless you are thinking of McDonalds.

I've never been a fan of Lafonda's. Definitely hate their margaritas.
I do like how the waitors wear bow ties.

30 years ago, the food was great, 20 years ago, the food was pretty good, 10 years ago, it sucked arse, but the booze was good and the womens was plentiful. I've had some epic times in that place, and none revolved around food. I've always said they could give the food away and still make a tidy profit.
