Howard's Dept Store where old Robichaux furniture was. Burger Chef at the corner of Johnston and Camellia. Big Al's Speakeasy now Pete's. Swensen's Ice Cream and Kroger on Arnould and Johnston. Yankee Doodle rest. was next to La Fonda's now part of Asbury Church. What was the toy store in the La Promenade Mall ? Sang Lee Tae Kwon Do was the King back then. Woolworth where the old Academy now Incredible Pizza Co is. Those were the days !!!

in high school, we used to go to beta conventions at usl and at lunch we'd hit up old time grocery and then spend all the rest of our time and money at quarter till, upstairs next to the bookstore.

My friend used to live near the oil center and we'd go there all the time. Mr. Cook's right below.

the one by campus is in front of youth park and they had 8 foot goals back there and we used to go play pickup games and dunk on each other like mad men

We use to have one in franklin back in the day until a disgruntled employee torched the place. I loved the burgers there as a kid.

I just noticed the other day that AVI kid has gotten older. You know the next to the Wal Mart kid.
Mr. Cooks had the best sausage biscuits. Dad used to take us there sunday mornings we'd get the biscuits and chocolate milk then go rolling down the hills(they seemed big when you were a kid in flatlands Lafayette) in the park next to the old dollar cinema.

I had a b-day party at HofC and my aunt was skating and fell and broke her arm. The next year my cousin (my aunt's grand daughter) had a party there and her mother fell and broke her arm there too
