He sure is smiling to be going to jail. I bet that’ll change once the dress him out in the orange jumpsuit and slam that cell door behind him. shite gets real very quick.

Lafayette City Marshal Brian Pope wants out of jail.
Pope has been in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center since Feb. 28, when Judge Jules Edwards revoked his probation on a 2016 contempt of court charge, ruling Pope did not adequately pursue his court-ordered community service.
He is being held as a "special management offender" and is being kept separate from the general jail population for his safety, John Mowell, public information office with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, said last week.
Pope's attorney filed a motion March 1, according to court records, seeking to modify his sentence to allow him to serve a portion of his 30-day jail sentence on house arrest.
Attorney Harry Philips presented three arguments in his motion that Pope should be allowed to serve time on house arrest: His position in law enforcement, the "extensive security" that will probably be needed if Pope remains in LPCC and the fact that his probation was revoked even though he still had about 253 days to complete the terms of the probation.
The deadline to complete his probation is Nov. 7.
