They just passed it at the last minute. I really hate them.

I'm very disappointed that HB 952 passed, especially with the bullshite amendments they added, but at least it wasn't SB 237. The industry can limp along under 952 in hopes things improve; I'm not sure the industry would have ever come back if 237 had passed.

Good Day Farm, which has a much larger operation than Ilera, has close ties to the lawmakers who have given it a near-exclusive grip on a lucrative niche market. The company’s primary shareholder is shipbuilding magnate Donald “Boysie” Bollinger, one of the wealthiest persons in Louisiana and a major Republican donor. The company’s president is John Davis, husband of state Rep. Paula Davis, R-Baton Rouge.

Limit a new business by restricting them from selling a product established places can? Good job Louisiana, always thinking behind.

Obviously happy we didn’t get all that restrictive regulations, but the above honestly can’t be legal.

I’m sure there’s some restaurants ready to challenge.

Constant fear mongering, false authority, appeals to emotion and a laundry list of logical fallacies. Incredibly horrible really.
Like most politicians from both sides of the aisle. Only concern is getting reelected.

Big F You to every taxpayer in the state.

Can't believe I've seen posters on this board arguing Louisiana politicians being corrupt has no bearing businesses not wanting to come to the state. Think about how bad this one situation looks to other growers.

But at least LSU and Southern are out of the pot business.
