Not standing by anything. Just saying that I wasn't going to get fooled again. It was obvious he wasn't going to show, so why should I waste my time? I've already proven myself to show up in the past, by doing it twice.

Makes no difference to me. Just saying that if he wants the $ that badly, that's his option. I either beat his arse and pay up, or he no shows and I keep the $. Either way, I win.

Not really. I go to Texas pretty frequently. I wouldn't make the drive unless I already had a planned trip. Not an inconvenience at all, really.
