Here's the progression as I know it.
Daughter of one of OJ's attorneys and friends. Therefore came from wealthy family that rubbed shoulders with other wealthy families. Kim started hanging out with Paris Hilton (another famous for being famous person) on club circuit. Kim comes out with sex tape that gets her a little more attention. Uses attention from being friends with Paris and sex tape to get reality show. Reality show blows up because women love drama. Here we are today.
