you do know that not every kid turns into a complete loser, right?
more often than not, the ones who end up in the situation you described grew up with parents like you

this is a well thought out argument and cant be contested.

According to this you definitely should not be having kids to continue your lineage.

My two year old is a handful and I am constantly tired since becoming a parent. That being said, when he hugs my neck and tells me he loves me it just melts my heart. The love you have for your child is such a strong love it is impossible to explain to someone who hasn't had one. I would do anything for him.

now he is about to turn 3, and i wish i had him when i was 23. Just nothing like it, and its not anything you can explain to someone who doesnt have kids. Everyday is just amazing with him. He brings me more joy than anything ive ever had in life.
I guess he just thinks all parents are lying. They would all not have children if they could go back and have a redo per the OP.

It really can't. But I'm a kids are the future, do better for them than was done for you and instill it into them to pass it along to theirs, Plus Ultra kinda guy.

It really can't.

quote:Amen brother. There are times that my wife pisses me off so much that I don't want to look at her when I get home. And then sooner or later I get over it and we're back to happy again. But my kids could piss me off to no end temporarily, and it's like I get over it instantaneously. There are times that I don't necessarily miss the wife as much as I do the kids when I have to work lots of OT. Opening the door and hearing them scream "daddy!" and running up to me is the highlight of my day. You can't buy that feeling for any price.
